PARIS — General Motors will use more small-displacement European engines in U.S. vehicles, company executives said here.
"You will see more 2.0-liter turbos with 200-plus horsepower," said Carl-Peter Forster, GM Europe president. "You'll see more four-cylinders."
The 2.0-liter turbo already is in the Pontiac Solstice, Saturn Sky, Chevrolet HHR and Chevrolet Cobalt. Forster didn't say what other U.S. vehicles could get the engine.
GM is studying even smaller engines for U.S. use.
