The Bentley Bentayga is the first of several new utility vehicles entering the ultraluxury segment.
With 643 sales through November last year, the Bentayga won't be the brand's biggest volume vehicle.
A bigger test for the brand will come later this year, when the redesign of the more-than-decade-old Continental range begins.
The first to arrive, but not in time for the Detroit show, will be the Continental GT coupe. It will be followed, perhaps in 2017 or the next year, by the convertible GTC. In 2018, the redesigned Flying Spur sedan goes on sale.
