TO THE EDITOR:
Keith Crain's column in the Feb. 20 issue ("Keep self-driving tests off public roads") was great. I don't understand why anyone would be pushing so hard for "easier" on-road testing (except the real world is where the true challenges exist).
I'm sure the companies' legal and insurance departments do not share management's urgency to mingle self-drivers with the rest of us.
