I-Pace: The five-seat crossover, arriving next summer, is Jaguar's first battery-powered vehicle. The I-Pace has a lot riding on it as Jaguar becomes one of the first automakers to take on Tesla. It is built on a unique, aluminum-intensive platform by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria, and has a range of 220 miles from its 400-hp twin electric motors.
J-Pace: Jaguar has not confirmed that it plans to launch a large, three-row, seven-passenger crossover, but spy photographers in Europe have snapped photos of what appears to be a stretched F-Pace. If there is a J-Pace, it would be made from aluminum to reduce weight and be available with a high-efficiency powertrain, possibly a diesel-electric hybrid, to keep carbon dioxide emissions down. It likely would not appear before 2020.
