BMW Group last week transformed its "Four-Cylinder" headquarters outside Munich into a giant set of batteries to mark its reaching the goal of selling 100,000 electrified vehicles worldwide in 2017. BMW AG Chairman Harald Krueger said the headquarters illumination trick — done with laser projectors, 100 LED lights and 480 intelligent moving lights — "is lighting the way into the era of electro-mobility. Selling 100,000 electrified cars in one year is an important milestone, but this is just the beginning for us." BMW, which introduced the electric BMW i3 in 2013, plans to offer 25 electrified models by 2025.
